I agree, the simplicity of the Macintosh experience and user interface is the ease of completing tasks as well. If you've ever read the Apple Human Interface Guidelines, you'll see that, although Apple can't control how third-party developers create their software, they are making an effort to have the same sense of simplicity through third-party applications and the likes. I installed iWork on my Mac last night, and was able to create both a Keynote presentation and Pages document within a half hour, from my iWeb experience. Concluding, I am not evaluating Vista based on the GUI enhancements. I was merely pointing out that Vista seemed more visually pleasing than Windows XP, however, I haven't made a post going into detail on the actual usability of Vista betas as of yet. Is that right? I always thought the simplicity of the Mac experience was partly the Mac GUI but also the ease of completing tasks. Glassy icons won't make Movie Maker into iMovie or WMP into iTunes.
